West Cork CPCS
West Cork Crisis Pregnancy Counselling Service is a free and confidential pregnancy counselling service which was established in 2006 to provide 3-option services (full information on all your options: parenting, adoption and abortion). It provides free post-abortion counselling and support to women who have had an abortion. It does not matter whether the abortion happened recently, or many years ago.
Location: West Cork Crisis Pregnancy Counselling is available at it's main base in Dunmanway and at outreach clinics in Bantry and Skibbereen:

How to make an appointment: To make an appointment Lo Call 1890 25 23 59. The phoneline is open from Monday-Friday 9am - 1pm. If you call outside these times, your call will not be answered, but you can leave a message and your call will be responded to as soon as possible. Counselling is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment and at an agreed location.
How to get here:
Dunmanway: Ross House is on the main street next to La Vie Cafe, opposite the post office and Costcutters. 2 hour parking is available on the street or at the square.
Skibbereen: The Healing Rooms are located on the left hand side of Market Street. The one way traffic system bring you through Market Street and Bank of Ireland and the Post Office are also located in this street. 2 hour parking is available on the street and in the car park at the rear of Fields Supervalu.
Bantry: The South Doc premises is located on Glengarriff road on the left hand side as you leave the town. Parking is available on the street. The building is clearly signposted.
When you get here:
Dunmanway: There is a reception and waiting area when you enter the building. The reception is staffed during office hours. The Counselling room is upstairs, however, arrangements are in place to accommodate wheelchair users.
Skibbereen: The Healing Rooms is used by other services i.e. homeopathy and has a relatively quiet shared waiting room on the right when you enter the building. The counsellor will meet you in the waiting room.
Bantry: Please ring the doorbell and the counsellor will meet you.
All appointments are spaced to allow maximum privacy.
Who can attend: You may bring a partner, a friend or a family member with you. Counselling is also available to them if it is needed.
Who provides the counselling: Counselling is provided by Rae Hanley, M.I.A.C.P., an Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited counsellor.
