Pact
Pact is a small independent agency, which has provided counselling and support in the area of crisis pregnancy since it was founded in 1952. Today it provides a broad range of services, including counselling after an abortion.
Pact is a safe, private place to come and talk, in total confidence. Just lift the phone to make an appointment for yourself or if you are worried about a partner, friend or relative. The receptionist will also be able to put you through to the counsellor if you want to talk to her over the phone.
Location: Pact is based in two locations:
Dublin: Arabella House, 18D Nutgrove Office Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
Cavan: Main Street, Cavan.
How to make an appointment: To make an appointment please call our Lo Call "Pactline" on 1850 67 33 33 or email info@pact.ie. Phone lines are open from Monday to Friday 10am-4pm. Outside these hours you can leave a message on our confidential voice mail and someone will call you back. You can expect to get an appointment within 1-2 working days.
How to get here: The Dublin office is ideally located if you are driving from Dublin or the area around, as it is easily accessible from the M50. Parking is ample and free.
Buses 14, 14a, 16a, 17 and 75 all stop within minutes walk of the office.
Please see our website http://www.pact.ie/v2/index.php?page=locate-us for detailed instructions on how to find us.
When you get here: Pact's location within a business park with dozens of other businesses provides great anonymity. When you arrive at Pact just ring the door bell and you will be let in by one of our friendly receptionists and asked to wait in our waiting room. As we provide a range of services no-one you meet, apart from the counsellor, will know your personal reason for coming to Pact. Waiting times are normally minimal, and the counsellor will come to the waiting room herself to bring you up to her office or the counselling room.
We do not operate a drop-in service, but it is not unusual that we would be able to see you on the same day if you ring ahead.
Who can attend: Counselling is available to anyone involved in a crisis pregnancy, partners and family members as well. Feel free also to bring someone with you for support if you feel this is helpful.
Who provides the counselling : Counselling is provided by professionally qualified social workers and counsellors.
